Hand crafted in the Hiwatt Custom Shop using the traditional pedal-building techniques passed down from father to son for generations of pedal enthusiasts and audio engineers. The Motto Oto comes from Hiwatt’s Japanese heritage - developed in the 80’s as the preamp of the Hiwatt Custom Tape Echo, this circuit is capable of producing a wide variety of sounds. A single transistor at its core allows this circuit to be easily pushed from clean boost mode, through light overdrive, to full blown distortion. The Motto Oto preamp is not your typical boost pedal. Touch sensitive and very dynamic; placed in the proper hands this sonic blade is a joy to wield. |
